Value of Life
Healing is yours. Strength is yours. Victory is yours. Peace is yours. Love is yours. Joy is yours & this life is also yours!! We must understand the value of life. It is invaluable and worthy to be lived. Let’s Understand it with a story:
One day, a son goes to his father and asks: “Father, what is the value of my life?” The father gives him a stone and says, “Son, take this stone and go to the market. If anyone asks the price, don’t say a word and just raise up 2 fingers. So the boy does as his father says and goes to the market.
He wanders around in the market and suddenly, an old woman approaches him and says: “How much is this stone, son?” The boy doesn’t say a word and raises up his 2 fingers. The old woman says- “$2? I’ll take it.” The son is surprised. He runs back to his father and narrates his story.
The father says-“Son, the next place I want you to go is the MUSEUM and if anyone asks the price, don’t say a word and raise up two fingers.”
Awakening is momentous!!
So, the son takes the stone and goes to the Museum. After about 20 minutes, a middle-aged man approaches the boy and asks -“Sir, how much is the stone?” The boy doesn’t say a word and raises up 2 fingers. And the man says- “$200? I’ll take it!” The boy is amazed and runs home to his father and narrates the story. Ok, son. The last place I want you to take the stone is a precious STONE STORE. Walk inside and if anyone asks the price, don’t say a word, just raise up 2 fingers.”
Son runs off to the precious stone store. As he walks inside, he finds an old man at the counter. And as the old man sees the stone, he jumps up and screams-
“Oh my God!! You have the stone I have been looking for my whole life! What do you want for it? How much is it?”
The boy doesn’t utter a word and raises up 2 fingers. And the old man says – “$2,00,000? I’ll take it!” The boy couldn’t believe it. He jumps up, runs to his father, and narrates his story.
The father explains – “You see son? Do you understand now, the value of your life? Life is all about where you place yourself. You have the choice to decide if you wish to be a $2 stone or $2,00,000 dollar stone.”
“There are some people who love you and for whom you are everything. And there are some people who just use you as a commodity, for whom you will be worth nothing. So it is up to you my son, to decide upon the value of your life.”
